Something strange is happening in Hawkins, Indiana. Not everyone is seeing it, though we don’t understand why. After all, strange lizard-like creatures are crawling around in dumpsters and that crop of pumpkins didn’t go bad in one night for no reason. No, the people of Indiana seemed determined to stick with the ordinary.

While most of the residents prefer to ignore the stranger things that are happening, we think it would be pretty interesting to get in touch with what’s new and fresh in the “Upside Down”. Gather your Dungeons and Dragons crew in the basement to ask some of those burning questions. Why has the whole town forgotten about poor Barb? Why won’t those cold vines leave poor Will alone? Also, who is funding the dishonorable Hawkins Lab, that’s a ramshackle operation if we’ve ever seen one!

Now, we’re not promising that you’ll learn the plot of future seasons when you and your buddies are asking this board questions but you’re sure to be amused. The planchette cursor is a sharp black with red lettering. The board is attractive with blackened corners and a warm interior with Joyce Byers’s handy Christmas lights. It’ll be a nice change from your typical dice rolling battles with the Demogorgon. Maybe you’ll even get on the up and up with those evil vines because we’re not going to stand for them taking down next year’s pumpkin crop!

This in-depth board game comes with everything you need to start playing. It comes with 34 detailed figures, including Stormtroopers, Rebel Soldiers, strange creatures, and Imperial vehicles.  It also comes with an assortment of dice, hero sheets, tokens, and cards required to play the game. The game board comes in the form of map tiles, which can be assembled in a nearly limitless number of ways to create unique battle maps for each campaign. It also comes with instructions, which help you play the different game modes, which include sprawling campaigns and short skirmishes. This game is designed for ages 14 and older and plays 2 to 5 players. It does take around 1 to 2 hours to play each game, so make sure you have a chunk of time set aside to finish your battle!

Sometimes, the only way to get rid of the most deadly of diseases is to conquer them in the lab before the viruses can manage to mutate and grow enough to even be a problem. But, some of the most notorious of diseases need even better specialists to make sure that is even an option! It is time to face down the Pandemic, once again, this time… in the lab!

In the Lab is the second expansion for the hit board game, Pandemic. To make the most out of this game, you’ll need the core set and a couple of the scenarios will require the first expansion, On the Brink, as well. Play the game with 1-6 players (creating teams with 4 or more) and work to identify the dangerous diseases before they spread from large cities and risk outbreaking and making a cure even harder! This expansion adds four new roles that help you move around the world or manipulate viruses in the lab as well as new rules for curing the diseases.
